Scientific tests have confirmed that Nanocyn sanitiser and disinfectant is the quickest product of its type at killing SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has verified that Nanocyn, a product ServiceFM uses in a variety of cleaning applications, kills COVID-19 in just 15 seconds.

This means Nanocyn is 40 times more efficient than 10-minute contact-time products which are still widely used for Touchpoint Cleaning and other hygienic processes.

ServiceFM Chief Executive Officer James Pollock welcomed the announcement.

"Congratulations to all involved in Nanocyn achieving this remarkable result. As a company, we have championed Nanocyn from well before the pandemic because we knew its efficacy would be an asset to any business that cares about its clients, workers and assets."

“Nanocyn kills viruses, bacteria, fungi and mould, is non-toxic and leaves no residue – and now we know it is the most effective and quickest working product on the market against COVID-19.”

Nanocyn remains the only hospital-grade disinfectant that is both TGA and Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) certified.

COVID-19 has brought new expectations to workplace hygiene and sanitation and Nanocyn meets all these requirements with ease, certified to kill a variety of nasties:

Viruses –

  • SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19),
  • Herpes Simplex,
  • Norovirus (Gastro),
  • Influenza A (H1N1).

Bacteria –

  • Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA),
  • coli,
  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Fungi & Mould –

  • Candida Albicans,
  • mentagrophyte (Tinea).

Microsafe Australia, the owner of Nanocyn, is excited by the development, with Managing Director Matt Seifert describing it as the only solution for Touchpoint Cleaning.

“…as you must leave any product on the surface for its required (wet) contact time, to be fully compliant with all health regulations,” he said.

“After all, there is no such thing as a dry contact time. Spray and wiping immediately after is cleaning, not disinfecting.”
